URLiX should remain understandable. This page shows a compact view of moderation, link handling and active protective measures.

Current indicators

How moderation works

Public link creation is not completely open. URLiX uses bot protection, rate limits, rule-based checks and recurring revalidation of active links.

Suspicious links can be reported through a dedicated abuse workflow and then reviewed manually in the backend.

What the numbers mean

Blocked links were actively removed from normal forwarding because of rules, technical review or a moderation decision.

Archived links remain in the system, but are no longer checked with the same frequency when they have been inactive for a longer period.

Own infrastructure in Germany

We take our users’ privacy seriously. URLiX runs the website, public captcha checks, access statistics and the related script delivery on infrastructure operated by us in Germany.

This keeps the security and analytics workflow inside our own European setup and avoids external proxy, CDN or third-party analytics services.

Self-hosted statistics without analytics cookies

URLiX uses a self-hosted Matomo installation on servers in Germany to understand page views and the use of the service.

No external analytics provider is involved. The current tracking code disables Matomo cookies and respects the browser’s Do Not Track setting.

Technically necessary cookies of the website itself, such as the frontend language cookie or PHP session cookie, remain unaffected.

Monitoring status

The last link-check run ended with the status "unknown" and was recorded at not yet recorded.
