Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains which personal data may be processed when you use urlix.eu and for which purposes this happens.

Controller

The controller for the website and the service offered through it is Danyel André Maus, Cami des Jardi d'en Ferrer 72, ES 07141 Marratxi, email: office@urlix.eu.

If you have questions about data protection at URLiX, you can contact us using the email address above.

Categories of processed data

  • Information that you actively submit, such as a long URL or an optional expiration date.
  • Technical session data required for secure form submission.
  • A language cookie if you manually choose a frontend language.
  • Security-related pseudonymous data such as hashed IP values for abuse prevention.
  • Data required for administrator login and password recovery in the protected admin area.

Purposes of processing

The data is processed to provide the link shortener, generate QR codes, secure the service against abuse and maintain the technical operation of the website.

Security checks, rule-based filtering and periodic re-checks of active links are intended to detect and limit misuse of the service.

Recipients and service providers

The website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM on servers in Germany.

Own infrastructure in Germany

We take our users’ privacy seriously. URLiX runs the website, public captcha checks, access statistics and the related script delivery on infrastructure operated by us in Germany.

This keeps the security and analytics workflow inside our own European setup and avoids external proxy, CDN or third-party analytics services.

Self-hosted statistics without analytics cookies

URLiX uses a self-hosted Matomo installation on servers in Germany to understand page views and the use of the service.

No external analytics provider is involved. The current tracking code disables Matomo cookies and respects the browser’s Do Not Track setting.

Technically necessary cookies of the website itself, such as the frontend language cookie or PHP session cookie, remain unaffected.

Country assignment for the admin dashboard

When a short link is created, the server may derive a two-letter country code from the request IP once in order to display the country of origin in the internal admin activity overview.

Only the country code is stored for this purpose. The IP address itself is not stored as part of this country assignment.

Storage and deletion

Data is stored only for as long as it is required for the respective purpose. Active short links remain stored until they expire, are deleted manually or are blocked by security rules.

Security and audit data is retained only for limited periods according to the configured retention settings and is then removed automatically where possible.

Your rights

You may request information about personal data concerning you, request correction of inaccurate data and, where the legal requirements are met, request deletion or restriction of processing.

You may also object to processing where applicable and lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority.
